ABOUT US
SST is a Ugandan national rural development and empowerment NGO (REG No………), currently operating in rural communities of the Buikwe and Mukono districts in Uganda.

SST was founded in 2017, first as a community based organization to empower rural farmers and their communities through improved methods of farming and using technology to access online platforms where they can market their crops and also get current market information and weather forecasts.

In July 2017 SST was registered as Company limited by Guarantee and in the process of registering with the National NGO Board of Uganda.

Our mission is to enhance knowledge and skills within rural communities and to promote the exchange of information and best practices through education, training community members to use the internet and whatsapp groups, advocacy and strategic partnerships for social, cultural and economic development. We seek to break the cycle of poverty and empower communities to take charge of their own development.

Our organization encourages community participation and also promotes leadership within the community. We encourage the community members to work together so that they own their projects.

A key goal of SST Uganda is to partner with organizations’ and individuals with complementary missions and everything we do seems inter-linked with efforts of others. We work in an environment of constant change that inspires us to partner with others to achieve more. In order to partner with you or your organization we must have harmony of purpose, skills and strategy that will enable us to maximize our contributions for the combined vision of success.

SST Uganda has a 5 year Strategy in which we will focus on promoting best farming practices, linking rural communities to markets and ensuring the rights of the rural farmers are protected. We encourage people to join us in this cause because many of the rural people are exploited and discriminated when it comes to the market arena. WE encourage you to be part of this cause so that we eradicate poverty in rural communities.
